Eloping to Scotland is a once-in-a-lifetime experience; so it’s crucial that you find the best people and elopement photography packages to bring your dream to life. In this guide, I’ll take you through your options from all-inclusive to curated experiences as well as shed some insight on our own Scottish Elopement Photography and Videography packages.
Are you the type or person who values a one-click, easy experience or are you looking to curate a day that feels aligned with your personality and values. There is no right option! There are offerings out there for both.
Personally, I’m the type of person who books everything separately to ensure I’m getting exactly what I want (I’m a scorpio and an eldest daughter)! So when it comes to eloping, I recommend and encourage all of our couples to opt for booking all their vendors separately. This ensures that you’re able to get the best people and services for you and you get to build relationships with each vendor. These people are so important to your day and you absolutely want to be on the same page. When you book all the people you want you don’t need to compromise on a single thing.
Elopements are similar to weddings in the way that you will be coordinating an event, though a much smaller one when you elope. When you elope in Scotland there is paper work to fill out like your M10 form – you can find great advice on the legalities of eloping here through the National Records of Scotland.
Your elopement can be as simple as you like. You can simply opt to elope and hire just a celebrant as in Scotland you don’t even need a venue. Though typically, couples will book a celebrant, photographer and florist as well as accommodation and perhaps a meal when eloping in the wilds of Scotland. Of course, you can opt to hire an elopement venue too, should you so wish.
Ultimately, eloping takes away a lot of the typical stressors of a wedding eg. large catering bills, guest entertainment and RSVPs. In this way, it seems that eloping in Scotland can be quite an easy way to celebrate.
Our elopement photography packages range from 2 – 8 hours for our standard packages and we offer bespoke quotes for multi-day adventures. That way you can get exactly what you need!
We named all of our packages after elements from ancient Scottish art from the Celts and Picts, we know we work on this land following a long line of artists who have paved the way for our distinct culture and we wanted to honour that.
Our Two Hour Edinburgh exclusive package is designed for short and sweet elopements. They are perfect for small registry office type elopements and allow for coverage of the ceremony as well as a few family and couple portraits.
Four hour elopement coverage is perfect for those looking for ceremony coverage as well as a bit of an adventure afterwards. This package is really popular for couples eloping in Glencoe as it gives plenty of time to explore all the amazing locations within the valley.
This is our most popular package. Within six hours we can capture your elopement day beautifully. We can start in the final moments of your preparations capturing last minute vow writing and quiet moments of reflection while you tie your shoes and button up your outfit. Afterwards, we’ll move onto photographing your ceremony. Then, onto whatever adventure you have planned for afterwards.
Eight hours covers your full elopement day from preparations to ceremony, then onto adventure and celebrations. You may opt to start your coverage at 12pm with some quiet moments before your ceremony at 1.30pm. Then followed by an adventure in the wilds of Scotland before some food at 4pm. Then onto the pub for some whiskies and a sunset adventure before we depart at 8pm as an example.

As well as photography, we also offer highlight films from your elopement. These are artistic representations of your day set to music with some snippets of audio from vows or moments throughout the day. These can be added onto any elopement photography package, meaning we’ll be capturing video for the same amount of time as we are photography and you get to leave with a full gallery and a 5 – 15 minute film depending on how many hours of coverage you booked.
Maybe we shouldn’t say this as photographers but our couples always have the bigger reaction to seeing their film. Its a completely different media and is incomparable to photography. It breathes, it’s alive in a way that photography isn’t. We’re always told such lovely stories of couples sharing videos with family and it being a very emotional, teary experience. When we elope we will 1000% be prioritising video in our budget.
There are different ways to approach booking your Scotland Elopement Photography Packages. There are all inclusive options where all vendors are included though in this way, you don’t get to curate the vendors whose work speaks to you. For this reason, we offer bespoke photography and videography packages and while we’re happy to recommend other vendors we know and love – we really encourage you to build relationships with these people who will play such a crucial role in your day. That way, you can be sure your booking the best elopement vendors for your Scottish adventure.
